Job Description:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Software Developer include:

Ø  Collaborating with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based business applications built on Microsoft technologies.

Ø  Assisting in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.

Ø  Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.

Ø  Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.

Ø  Participating in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.

Ø  Package and support deployment of releases.

Ø  Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications.

Ø  Analyzing and resolving technical and application problems.

Ø  Assessing opportunities for application and process improvement and preparing documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.

Ø  Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.

Ø  Providing third-level support to business users.

Minimum Requirements

Ø  3 -4 years’ experience as a Software Developer

Ø  College or University degree in Computer Science (BE, MSC IT / Comp, MCA) or a related discipline

Ø  Finance domain knowledge.

Core Competency Requirements

Ø  Proficient with Microsoft .NET 3.5+ development using C#

Ø  In depth knowledge and experience with core Microsoft .Net technologies including: MVC3, LINQ ,JQuery ,CSS.

Ø  Experience with database development including relational database design, SQL.

Ø  Experience designing and developing enterprise grade software Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments

Ø  Working on an agile team; multi-threading and concurrency; debugging, performance profiling and optimization

Ø  Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories

Ø  Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment

Ø  Proven communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders

Ø  Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
