Technical Writer

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
? Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation.
? Help improve existing documentation processes, standards, frameworks, and templates.
? Excellent understanding of the English grammar, style, and writing standards
? Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures, training material and complex technical
manuals.
? Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts
? Liaise with a variety of departments to compile and compose technical information
? Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
? Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts that increase users’ understanding.
? Design and establish style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations to meet business needs.
? Standardize content across platforms and media.
? Analyse documents to maintain continuity of style of content
? Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
? Produce electronic documentation, compile, organize and write online help files to support end-users
? Gather usability feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers.
? Assist the technical, R&D and Engineering team to prepare templates as required.
