Location: New Delhi

Salary (In Hand): Netogiable upto 12 L PA

Job Description: 

The Govt. Sales Manager will be responsible to initiate the new business development and capture of business in Govt. Marine business in India Market Like MoD, MHA, Navy, Coat Guard, Public Shipyards, Naval Dock Yards, etc. He will have to introduce and Register company in all above-mentioned Govt. department and make strategy for getting business from above mention govt. customers as per our company produce portfolio directly or through channel partners.

  • He will have to create a vision for Govt. Marine business (Navy. Coast Guard, Ship Yards, Dockyards, INS’S) of company in India and execute his plans to get business of Garmin in Navy Coastguard, Shipyard and Dockyard. He will have to Handle Tender & Contracts, Bid Management with Government like Defense department, Ministries, Coast Guard, Navy, etc.
  • Formulate a database that is intended for customer files and vital information & Maintain customer files and information in database. 
  • The candidate must have sound knowledge & understanding of the Govt. procurement policies and should have the ability to evaluate the Tenders directly and closely work with the assigned associate/channel partner/dealer in the territory to ensure the complete bidding process. Should have the capability to freeze the order independently.
  • He will be responsible for achieving sales target in Govt. Marine Sales Division. 
  • Customer-focused, Innovative Thinking, Risk Taking, Strategic Planning and Agility, Commitment to Quality, Market Awareness. 
  • Analyze and identify opportunities to secure new businesses from Govt. customer base and optimize profit and increase revenues.
  • Design and implement new strategies to drive business growth in assigned sales market
  • Administer entire sales process identify target customers, push sales and complete sale process to manage Govt. Sales.
  • Manage pricing, deal pricing and other sales proposal activities
  • Manage OEM engagements to design strategies to acquire more business deals.
  • Provide an interface with senior management and junior staff regarding value based product proposal and marketing to ensure optimized Govt. Sales. Plan, propose and Participate in innovative projects to enhance sales proposal process.
  • Identify new markets to widen market base for enhanced revenue and profit generation.
  • Involve in direct customer negations in association with sales team and management.
  • Analyze markets to obtain latest trends, customer needs, competitors’ position and depth of customer base to re-design marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with engineering team to identify customer requirements for translating them into product specifications.
  • Collaborate with marketing department to design new services and products for enhancing business growth.
  • Design and Ensure completion of all commercial contracts with external agencies/ Customers
  • adhering to commercial terms and market conditions.
  • Attend tradeshows to provide sales support, generate leads, evaluate sales activities, strategies and strengths of the competition, identify new market and customer opportunities, and evaluate the success and perception of products.
  • Compare monthly sales results to goals and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Provide sales input for annual strategic planning process.
  • Interface with Product Management to provide customer feedback on product performance.
  • Provide input on advertising, literature and promotion materials.
  • Recommend pricing programs to remain competitive.
  • Understand and evaluate the magnitude of opportunity in the region. Visit potential customers, attend meetings, seminars, symposiums and shows. Use knowledge obtained to perform and maintain a comprehensive review and analysis.

 REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • BSc/BE/B. Tech, MBA is added advantage.
  • In depth knowledge of Govt. Industry.
  • 5-6 Yrs. Of experience in technical sales.
  • Basic Understanding of GPS Navigation Devices will be an added advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi language.
