AWS Architect

Job Profile & Major Responsibilities

(What are the activities, responsibilities, decision making capacity and scope of the role?)

•         Responsible for Cloud Infrastructure support for Group Applications

•         Lead the Automation & Cloud Best Practice initiative as part of the Cloud COE team

•         Develop & Maintain Cloud Standards within Compass Group

•         Provide design and architectural support to the Compass Cloud programs

•         Ensure timely resolution of issues within Cloud Programs

•         Drive Cost Optimization for the Compass infrastructure hosted on Cloud

•         Drive adoption of relevant Cloud Services within Compass for enhanced operational efficiency

Job Related Knowledge and Skills

(Technical/Non-Technical Skills, Computer skills, Work/people skills)

•         Expert knowledge of AWS Public Cloud (Solution Architect Certification desirable)

•         Working knowledge on Azure Public Cloud

•         Good experience on Data Center design, implementation & migration

•         Good experience on Virtualization/High Availability & Networking

•         Experience on implementing Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity solutions

•         8-15 years of experience in implementing and supporting Data Center and related components with 12-20 years of overall work experience in Infrastructure Service Delivery

•         Working knowledge on Automation Framework like Cloud Formation/Chef/Puppet/Python/Bash & Powershell

•         Experience in implementing Infrastructure for Enterprise Solutions like SAP is desirable

•         Background of working in a geographically distributed and multi-national business and cultural environment

•         Excellent communication skills – written and oral

•         Ability to work in a professional manner, be flexible, and handle interactions with all levels of the organization and the group companies
