Job Description:

Position: Works Manager/Head Operations

Experience: 15-20 yrs experience in Manufacturing Operations (SPM/batch-manufacturing preferred)

Education: BE (Mechanical), MBA (Operations) preferred

Industry Preference: OEM/Systemhouse/Printing & Packaging industry

Specialized knowledge:  SPM, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Sensors, process-material knowledge, basic mechanical components

Skills: Superior Leadership skills, coaching skill, problem-handling, drawing reading, machining, innovation

Duties &Responsibilities: Your responsibilities include following prime objectives but not limited to –

Projects planning

Understand & plan every project with project engineering. Ensure appropriate production planning, purchases and manufacturing parts, etc. Drive and ensure successful completion of the project.

Team Support & mentoring

Make sure all operational sections work with respect to the project plan, standby and work as a strong support center to the operational team; mentor them on cross-function coordination, process-building, and best operational practices.

Cost Centre: Ensure that all the operations carried out in the factory are in line with budgeted cost. Improvement in P&L and turnover is the key requirement.

Troubleshooting: Manage deviations by coordinating with other teams, considering complete customer satisfaction and timely-quality delivery.

Additional Responsibilities: Help and support Customer-service department ensuring appropriate redressal of customer complaints and installations.

Abilities:

Team handling, mentoring, and knowledge-centre.

Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

Technically capable, excellent communicator, desire to improve processes

High professional integrity

Working conditions:

• General Shift office time; no shift rotation
• 6 days week
• Required to stay late occasionally

Physical requirements:

Required to stand for some of time

Get rework done by operations on urgency

Conduct performance appraisal of the team & control time-off

Question & counsel performance issues within team
