JOB DESCRIPTION

A purchasing manager is involved in every aspect of the business operations from the
development of a product to comparing supplier costs to strategic planning to production
? Manage the purchasing process including the buying, selling and distributions aspects of the
company
? Review new project proposals for the company.
? Analyse existing purchasing processes for performance
? Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems
? Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
? Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability
? Maintain a good rapport with the company's clientele
Qualifications for Purchasing Manager
? Master's degree in a related field preferred
? Prior experience working in the purchasing department
? Strong understanding of the market conditions and trends
? Working knowledge of negotiation techniques in the industry
? Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build a good rapport
