Job Description:
Qualification : Should have passed Full time Degree in Engg (Mechanical, Production, Electrical) and Dip in Industrial Safety.
(someone from Army / navy background)
Work Experience : Minimum 8yrs to 15yrs of work experience of independently handling the Safety & Environment Portfolio of a Large Manufacturing Company and should have exp in building Culture & Practices of Safety in various Processes & Systems.
1. ROLE OBJECTIVE
- Ensure a safe working environment.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To advise the concerned dept in planning & organising measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries.
- To advise on safety aspects in work & to carry out detailed job safety studies.
- To check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries.
- To carry out safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers.
- To investigate all fatal and other accidents. To advise on the maintenance of such records as are necessary relating to accidents, dangerous occurrences.
- To promote setting up of safety committees and act as advisor and catalyst of such committees.
