Job Description / Responsibilities :-
1. Excellent written and spoken communication skills
2. Receiving customer with pleasing manner
3. Strong customer service skills
4. A friendly and professional telephone manner
5. The ability to adapt to different guests
6. Patience and tact
7. The ability to stay calm under pressure and look after several things at once
8. Good problem solving skills
9. Answers incoming calls.
10. Directs call to guest rooms, staff, or departments through the switchboard or PBX system.
11. Places outgoing calls.
12. Receives guest messages and deliver the same to the officials and staff.
13. Provides information about hotel services to guests.
14. Understand the telephone operator board or PBX switchboard operations.
15. Knows what action to take when an emergency call is required.
16. Assists in reporting telephone equipment or service complaints and problems.
17. Multitasking abilities will always come in handy, because a switchboard operator may be asked to do other jobs as well.
18. Must be polite and courteous while answering the phone.
19. Open and close telephone functionality on the hotel front office software.
20. Keep records of calls placed and received by all
21. Setup conference calls in different locations and time zones.
22. Update directory information on the front office software.
23. Provide relay service for hearing-impaired guests.
